Today you are going to be making some blueberry muffins.
Step 3: Tasks to carry out for this activity
Activity 1 – Making Blueberry Muffins
Requires adult support
Follow the recipe below to make your muffins. This activity is about cooking together, with your child doing as much as possible with your support.
Gather together all the equipment and ingredients that you will need.
Equipment
A large mixing bowl
Kitchen scales
Jug
Wooden spoon
Muffin cases
Bun tin
Ingredients
Plain flour
Baking powder
Caster sugar
Eggs
Milk
Butter
Vanilla extract
Blueberries
First and most importantly wash your hands
- Help your child to weigh out the ingredients.
- Follow the recipe to make the muffins.
- Allow them to mix the ingredients together and spoon into the muffin cases.
- WARNING – The adult must put the muffins into the oven and take them out when they are cooked.
- Take care because the tray and muffins will be hot when they first come out of the oven.
- Don’t forget to get your child to help clear and wash up.

Enjoy a muffin with a glass of milk don’t forget to share your muffins with your family.
