Learning Intentions:

  • To follow a recipe to make cupcakes

Step 1: Activity overview for parent, carers and pupils

This activity links to the Teddy Bears’ Picnic activity.

  • This is a cooking activity that will need to be supervised by an adult.
  • There is a short video to help set the scene for this activity. (Approximately two minutes)
  • The recipe is presented as a five-page PowerPoint.

Step 2: Introduction to the activity and additional information

Let’s start by watching and joining in with this short video about the Teddy Bears’ Picnic sung by Anne Murray. Click on the link below.

Today we are going to make some cupcakes for a teddy bears’ picnic. When you have made your cupcakes you might like to share some with your teddies in the den you made during a previous activity. If you haven’t done this activity yet you might want to do it while you are waiting for your cakes to cool.
