Learning Intentions:
- To be able to count accurately to 10.
- To be able to fill in the missing numbers in a number line.

Step 1: Activity overview for parent, carers and pupils
In this activity there is a short counting song, approximately four minutes, and a choice of activity sheet which can be downloaded and printed or copied onto paper.

The main activity can be completed offline.
Step 2: Introduction to the activity and additional information
Start by joining in with the counting song ‘Funky Counting Song – Numbers 1-10 by The Singing Walrus’ on the link below:
Step 3: Tasks to carry out for this activity
Activity 1 – Missing numbers
Choose one from the two templates below depending on what numbers your child is confident with:
- Using the number line of your choice count together and get your child to tell you which numbers are missing.
- Complete the number line with the numbers and the correct number of dots underneath.
Once you have completed the task you can email anything you create (photos, documents, screenshots etc.) directly to your teacher or directly upload it to any of the available places in Step 5.
Step 4: Look over the success criteria for this activity:
Success criteria #1: I can join in with a counting song.
Success criteria #2: I can complete a number line 1-5.
Success criteria #3: I can complete a number line 1-10.
Look at the learning intentions ‘how well do you think you have done?’
