  • To ask and answer the question ‘Ble mae’r…’ (Where is…) in Welsh.

Step 1: Activity overview for parent, carers and pupils

Shwmae! In this activity we will be taking a look at how to ask and answer about different things around a garden or outdoors.

  • Ble mae’r… – Where is the…?
  • Dyma’r… – Here is the…

There is a 2 minute video to watch at the beginning of this activity that is an example of your challenge and also introduces the language that you’ll need. The remainder of the activity can be completed offline after downloading a copy of the language mat.

Don’t worry too much if you forget a word in Welsh for something. The important thing is that you give it a go!

Step 2: Introduction to the activity and additional information

To begin, watch the clip below. It may introduce some new words or it may help to recap your memory of words that you already know. Listen carefully to the sentences. You are welcome to pause the clip at any point to practise the sentences.
