  • To be able to write about a friend.

For this activity there is a short video (approximately four minutes) about Friends by Eric Carle.The main activity can be completed offline.

Start by watching the video on the link below: 

Talk about what makes a good friend

  • Do friends laugh together?
  • Do friends listen?
  • Can pets be friends?
  • Who is your friend?
  • Why are you friends?

Step 3: Tasks to carry out for this activity

Activity 1: My friend

  • Draw a picture of your friend, for example; a school friend, pet, family member or someone who lives near you.
  • Write a few sentences to describe your friend.

Once you have completed the task you can email anything you create (photos, documents, screenshots etc.) directly to your teacher or directly upload it to any of the available places in Step 5.

Step 4: Look over the success criteria for this activity:

Success criteria #1:  I can talk about what makes a good friend.

Success criteria #2:  I can write about my friend.

Look at the learning intentions ‘how well do you think you have done?’
