Requires adult support
Follow the recipe below to make your ice cream. This activity is about cooking together, with your child doing as much as possible with your support.
You will need a bowl, measuring jug, tin opener, a whisk hand or electric, teaspoon, tablespoon, and plastic containers for your ice cream.
- First and most importantly wash your hands.
- Measure out the ingredients.
- Allow them to whisk the ingredients together if using a hand whisk you will probably want to take turns. If using an electric mixer you will need to help your child to ensure they are using it safely.
- Let your child mix in any flavourings and spoon the mixture into the containers.
- Put the ice cream into the freezer for four hours to set.
- Don’t forget to get your child to help clear and wash up.
