Learning Intentions:
- To know what nocturnal animals are.

Step 1: Activity overview for parent, carers and pupils
In this activity there is an information video to watch (approximately three minutes). Your child will need to make some notes on nocturnal animals as they watch. The main activity can be completed offline.
Resources: paper (A4 or A3 size), crayons, felt tip pens, etc.
Step 2: Introduction to the activity and additional information

Start by watching the information video below:
How many animals did you know?
Were you surprised that some were nocturnal?
What do you think the benefits for these animals are by coming out at night?
Step 3: Tasks to carry out for this activity
Activity 1 Making an information poster
- Watch the video again if you need to make some more notes on the nocturnal animals that you saw and any facts heard.
- Plan how you are going to create your information poster by sketching out the words ‘Nocturnal Animals’ and where on your paper you are going to draw some of the animals and write the facts you have researched.
- Make your information poster, remember to make it eye-catching for the reader.
Once you have completed the task you can email anything you create (photos, documents, screenshots etc.) directly to your teacher or directly upload it to any of the available places in Step 5.
