Learning Intentions:
To learn about the different parts of a flower and the jobs they do.

Step 1: Activity overview for parent, carers and pupils

Find out about the different parts of a flower. Create a poster to show the different parts of a flower and explain their jobs.

There is a short video to watch. (Approximately 4 minutes)

The activity can be completed offline.

Step 2: Introduction to the activity and additional information

There are at least eight main parts to a flower that all have important jobs.

Watch the following clip that explains the jobs of each part of a flower.

While you are watching make notes on the main parts of the flower. You will need this information later.

How many did you spot?

You can always go back and watch the video again.
