Learning Intentions:

  • To be able to use different strategies to divide numbers.

Step 1: Activity overview for parent, carers and pupils

In this activity there are two short instructional PowerPoints to support your child’s learning. There is a further PowerPoint for the main activity and your child will need to choose a suitable level from the four options provided.Once your child has read through the online materials the main activity can be completed offline.

NB: For your information, an answer sheet has been provided for you in step 5.  Your child can use this to check their work once they have finished the activity.

Start by reading through the PowerPoint below to find out about today’s activity.

Now look through the PowerPoint below to see examples of the different strategies that you could use to help you complete the different challenges.

Step 3: Tasks to carry out for this activity

Activity 1

Choose which challenge level from the list below that you are going to use from mild, medium, hot or spicy. Remember to challenge yourself. You can always go up or down depending on how you are finding the level.

Write your answers down showing your working out.

Once you have completed the task you can email anything you create (photos, documents, screenshots etc.) directly to your teacher or directly upload it to any of the available places in Step 6.
