A Sudoku is a puzzle in which missing numbers or patterns are to be filled into a grid of squares. Please see ‘YouTube’ link below to show you how the puzzle works.
Rules to remember:
- Each Easter egg colour can only appear ONCE in each row.
- Each Easter egg colour can only appear ONCE in each column.
- Each Easter egg colour can only appear ONCE in each 2 x 2 block.

An algorithm is a series of instructions to solve a problem. Can you create instructions for your own Sudoku challenge to tell someone how to complete it.
For example to complete my Easter egg challenge:
- Choose a square
- Check a row for Easter egg patterns
- Check a column for Easter egg patterns
- Check box for Easter egg patterns
- Put answer into the square.

Step 4: Here is your task!
- Use/copy the worksheet attached and write instructions (algorithm) on how to complete a Sudoku puzzle. SUDOKU like a ROBOT!
- There is also another blank Sudoku template if you feel up to the challenge of creating your own puzzle.
- Once you have completed the task you can email anything you create (documents, screenshots etc.) directly to your teacher or upload it to any of the available places below.
