Let’s start by finding out the history of the biscuit.

Today you are going to make some Viennese Finger biscuits. These are delicious melt in your mouth biscuits.
Step 3: Tasks to carry out for this activity
Activity 1 – Making Viennese Finger Biscuits
Requires adult support
Follow the recipe below to make your Viennese Finger biscuits. This activity is about cooking together, with your child doing as much as possible with your support.
Gather together all the equipment and ingredients that you will need.
Equipment
A large mixing bowl
Kitchen scales
Fork
Wooden spoon
Baking tray
Cooling rack
Piping bag and nozzle if you have one.
A tall glass
Ingredients
Butter
Icing sugar
Plain flour
Corn flour
Jam
Plain chocolate
- First and most importantly wash your hands.
- Weigh out all the ingredients.
- Follow the recipe to make the Viennese Finger biscuits.
- WARNING – An adult must put the biscuits into the oven and take them out when they are cooked.
- Take care because the tray and cookies will be hot when they first come out of the oven.
- WARNING – An adult must melt the chocolate.
- Don’t forget to help clear and wash up.
Enjoy your Viennese Finger biscuits with a glass of milk don’t forget to share them with your family.
Once you have completed the task you can email anything you create (photos, documents, screenshots etc.) directly to your teacher or directly upload it to any of the available places in Step 5.
